Wowzers! Has the 2nd one been converted into a trailer? That’s kind of brilliant.

YES! It’s a trailer. I was totally blown away. I’ve seen this done with Minis and Beetles but this was a first!

The American version of this is a pickup bed trailer. I feel like I used to see them all the time, butnot so much anymore. There is a local guy with a trailer made from the back end of a rusty Ford Ranchero.

Here’s a nice one.

But more often they look like this.

Kinja'd!!!

Google images just taught me that stuff like this is a thing.

Well, that’s interesting. They kind of made a one-piece version of that.

Ah! The infamous Volvo 245T (Transfer)! I’ve got a black 1/43 Resin Matrix of those. The 1/1 was almost 6 meters long! Do you notice the bar above the rear doors for strength?

I love the fact the dude in the photo found a scrap-yard 245 for a donor in the same color as his car!

Ah, you’ll have to do a special Swedish Saturday for it. I didn’t notice that bar. That’s cool. They really should have extended the cargo compartment to fit all that luggage. It’s getting tight back there.

I wonder if he took the front seats out of the trailer. It would be hair-raising to ride back there. Or maybe the whole idea was to make a 12 passenger.

It will pass, but three posts a week is already taking me too much time. Maybe I’ll skip Spaghetti Sunday and make that Swedish Sunday. Or just use a Meatball Monday.

The 240 wasn’t as spacious as it looks from the outside. I’ve experienced that as you may remember.

It would be totally illegal over here to transport people in there so the seats are probably out. Or he’s “transporting” the seats, to evade that luxury tax ;-)

Ha. Meatball Monday is a good one. I can’t even do 3 posts a month, so I’m impressed you’ve been so consistent.

My dad’s was a 240. Not as a big a wagon as we were used to.

Shouldn’t he have the blacked out cargo windows for seat transport?

I’ve got a great French story for tomorrow. Totally French. And my posts aren’t nearly as long as yours. Just taking those damn pictures is taking up so much time!

Good call about those windows. This probably is a pre ‘88-car. Good memory dear sir!

I imagine the pictures are quite time consuming. The effort shows, though. I just do a few scans and search Google for 2 minutes. I’m working on a little video for an upcoming piece, though.

I love the panel van rule. You should do a little Oppo post about it before Torch gets in on it.

A video! With you presenting it? Or just a Le Car dashcam-action copy?

The Panel-van rule only will be written of if I can get a guarantee it reaches FP ;-)

One other great thing about the Volvo and it’s trailer above is the wheels of that trailer: The same 5-spokes Volvo OEMs as the car itself!
